Catering for varied ground conditions, reel type and rod length, the most likely to remain popular are the Power Match and Rough Ground models. For bass and general estuary work our 11’ 6” beauty will still hit mean distances but has all the subtlety to propel big lures and puck flatties from the surf.

English Channel and Bristol Channel this rod is fast becoming a rod with cult status. Its ultra slim diameter coupled with limitless power and lightness is a formidable combination quickly recognised.

Zziplex M4 breaks the record in the field of casting. This variant can be called as the big brother of Zziplex profile and is much stiffer.

The rod has two equal sections, each having a length of 6ft 9in. It also has a slim butt measuring 22.5 mm. The butt is power pointed.

With an optimum casting weight of 60 oz, this rod gives the freedom to load up this rod with as much power as desired by the user. Guess what? The rod gives the feel similar to that of GSI.

This ultimate match rod is slim, light and strong enough for a long way launch of 3 hook rigs.

The new and best feature of the Zziplex Primo Match 13ft 6 is the glass tip which is capable of giving great bite detections at great ranges.

Along with a fast tip action, it casts up to 170gms. The rod comes with a tapered butt ranging from 25.5mm to 23.7 at the spigot.

The tip section is of length 7ft 5.5inches.

The Match has a more flowing through – action for easy loading up during the cast and this also helps to prevent covering the beach with your precious bait. The big benefit to the pleasure angler and match angler alike is that it still retains the stable, super sensitive tip, which gives good bite detection. The Match is versatile because it is easy to cast and covers a wide variety of conditions. The original rods were prototyped on the Sound of Mull, Western Highlands where they really rattled dogfish and conger to depths of over 300’ with powerful tides. A proven Home and International Match winner when a gentle lob of a big pork pie size crab bait into the back of the breaking surf – got the desired results.

The Super Match owes much to a past legend in sea angling called Dave Docwra. Dave was an international angler with a vast amount of experience and records under his belt. His design input was embedded in Super Match and thousands of anglers have benefited from the unique action. Surprisingly the design is based on a slightly more powerful butt than the sport and a “tippier” tip than the Match! The new Super Match with Gearbox Design in the butt will deliver over both rough, mixed and smooth ground. It will appeal to the specialist who banks on winning and delight an angler who wants accuracy and needlepoint sensitivity.
